Circumference of a Squirrel, MN Fringe Festival, Bryant Lake Bowl Theater, 2007

Tomorrow marks the first day of "school" for I Like Me! - my next show starting rehearsals tomorrow. I'm ready to head back to Stages for another show and couldn't be more excited. Naturally I've got some butterflies in the stomach, much like those first days of school. Woo! Those were doozies! :o) I'm confident this will be 100 times more fun! So many questions and discoveries to be asked and made! What will the set look like?what will my costume look like? What kind of dog is Mr. B? Does he bring his own kibble to class each day or does he eat in the cafeteria? Does he like pizza? Is he anything like any of the many many many teachers that I've had in my life? Stay tuned for the answers to all these questions and MORE!
This summer has been busy! Just filmed a training video for Target last week. Pulled an all nighter for that one. Good fun! (Big Thanks to Ruth @ Moore for gig!)
Last week brought the great news that I will be returning to Stages Theatre Company once again this fall! I will be playing Mr. B in their upcoming WORLD PREMIERE of Nancy Carlson's - I Like Me! Written by the incredibly talented Michael Erickson. Marilee Mahler will be the captain of the ship on this one as Director. I'm very excited to work with both of these folks again. Michael wrote the music for the very first play I was ever in at Stages (then Child's Play) - Peter Pan! Here's a clip from that show:
Keep your eyes peeled for my commercials running right now for Explore Minnesota, and Rapala fishing lures.
I'm so blessed to have had a great 2009 thus far! Here's hoping for continued success. :o)
Happy Summer!
In the fall of 2006, I had the pleasure of working on the first reading of Show Choir! - The Musical in New York. While I'm not currently involved with the show, I highly recommend everyone take a look at what the show is about. DONALD GARVERICK & MARK McDANIELS (the duo behind this great show) have just launched their website to promote the show. Go check it out!
The Official Show Choir! - The Musical Website
ABOUT THE SHOW:
Show Choir! - The Musical takes place in a not too distant future where a high school show choir, The Symphonic Sensations, have become a national phenomenon adored by millions. Told through the framework of a music biography TV program entitled "Beyond the Facade," Show Choir! - The Musical follows the exciting journey of this ordinary high school show choir as they alternately scale the highs and lows of American Celebrity.
